  MSC is a family-oriented fishing club organized to stimulate public awareness of striped bass fishing. We promote sportmanship, conservation and demand adequate water quality. We're based in Columbia, S.C. on beautiful Lake Murray. 
   Tournaments are held on the third Saturday of each month, with times following safe light conditions. July is usually a night tournament beginning Friday at  6:30 p.m. and ending Saturday at 10:00 a.m. We have a Youth Tournament and a Ladies Tournament annually.
   Membership fee is currenty $30 per year for the entire family or $15 after July 1st. If you wish to join, you may download an application form in Adobe Acrobat Reader format here.

TEAM “JON BOY AND DEBBIE” WEIGHS 27-12 TO WIN
MIDLANDS STRIPER CLUB’S JUNE TEAM TOURNAMENT

  MSC’s June Team Tournament, held June 21, 2008 out of Jake’s Landing, Lake Murray, was won by Harold and Debbie Alewine from Rock Hill. Team "Jon-Boy and Debbie" caught four striped bass weighing 27 lbs 12ozs. Harold and Debbie also caught the Big Fish of the tournament, weighing 9 lbs.1 oz. The Alewines will receive the Lake World of Lexington team award as well as the Nichol’s Store of Rock Hill Big Fish prize.
   Finishing second with 19 lbs. 10 ozs. was “Team Wildman,” captained by Donnie Christopher from Rock Hill. Donnie’s team consisted of Justin Christopher and Skip Morgan, both also from Rock Hill and Danny Young from Sumter. In third place with 18 lbs. 8 ozs. was “Team Fog-Don,” captained by Don Jackson of Lexington along with James “Fogman” Lindler, of West Columbia.
   The winner of the lowest legal creel weight prize for March was team "Cut Bait and Wait," consisting of  Steve Stout, Cole Stout, Phil Plyler, and Harrison Ashe, all from Prosperity, with 2 lbs.13 ozs.
